How to: Distressed Jeans

This is a tutorial on how to distress a pair of jeans on your own. This is a time consuming project. Depending on the size of the hole you are creating, the time will be affected. The larger the hole the longer you will spend pulling it apart. So let me stop blabbing and let's get into the tutorial.

You want to start off with a pair of clean jeans. It would be best if these jeans were an older pair. You could go to a thrift store to find a perfect pair of jeans to distress.

Next you want to put the jeans on and mark where you want the holes to be. You can do as many holes as you want here, it is all about preference.

You are going to cut two straight line parrallel to each other. Again the size of the hole is up to you.

NOw you are going to begin pulling apart the jeans. You are going to want to pull the upright threads off of you jeans. These are the blue or colored threads that are perpendicular to the parallel cuts. DON'T pull the white threads, those are what make the distressed look. You can do this with your fingers, but it is a lot easy if you do it with tweezers.

You are going to pull the blue threads off until your hole only has the white threads left. You will continue these steps to add more holes if you want to the rest of the jeans. Finally wash them to bring out the entire distressed look.

Nail Tutorial: Panda Bears

Panda Bear Nails

First, you want to apply a base coat. You can apply a peel off base coat or just a regular base coat. I used a hardener as mine.

Next, you want to apply a base color that will be the background for your panda bear. This color can be any that you want. I chose a light blue. You can use a pink, or green, or yellow ect.

After that, you need to make the body of the panda bear. Using a white nail polish or white acrylic paint, make a half circle at the end of your nail. You can use the nail polish's brush or you can use a small paintbrush dipped in white nail polish to create the half circle. *Optional, after painting the half circle add a top coat to your nail.

After that, you are going to add two black dots at the top of the half circle. The two black circles are the ears of the panda bear. You want to make sure that the two circles are symmetrical. To create the dots you can use a nail dotting tool or you can use a bobby pin.

Then, you are going to add two sideways ovals in the middle of the half circle. The ovals are to be angled up towards your cuticles. Make sure that is a space between the two ovals. Just like before you can use a dotting tool or a bobby pin. *Optional, after painting the half circle add a top coat to your nail.

Lastly, you will add a small white dot inside the black oval. The white dot is going to add to the black eye. The white dots can be put anywhere in the black ovals. For the smaller dots you can use a smaller dotting tool or a toothpick. Add a top coat to your finished manicure to seal in the design and make the manicure last longer.

  • Would I recommend this manga?
            Yes, definitely!!
  • Synopsis:
This manga is about a girl, Futaba Yoshioka, who wants to change the way people look at her. In junior high all of the other girls were jealous of how cute Futaba was, so the other girls began to ostracize Futaba. When she went into high school she made the choice to change the way she acts and looks by acting more boyish But in junior high the only boy she liked was Kou Tanaka. In their second year of junior high Kou moved away before she could tell him about her feelings. When she is in high school she meets Kou again, but now he is different.

  • Review:
If you want a terrific slice of life manga, then Ao Haru Ride is a great choice. This manga is similar to I, My, Me or Hirunaka no Ryuusei. When i was reading this manga it always kept me reading. I spent just two days reading the 49 chapters. The drawings of the manga were fantastic. I thought that they were very well done and showed the feelings of the charcters well. The characters had their individuality. Each character was very different from one another and had great back stories. The story of the manga was super interesting. It definitely will keep you reading. The story has cliffhangers which keep the reader involved in the manga. I would recommend this manga to anyone who likes romance, drama, and some comedy.
This review is all my opinion.

How To: Maximize Your Anime Time

Maximize your time to watch anime with school!

If you go to school for 8 hours a day like me, you probably don't have a lot of time to watch your favorite animes. In this post I will give you advice to help you maximize your anime watching time.

1. School work comes first!
If anime and manga are affecting your grades then you should do something differently. Anime and manga should be more of a hobby. Don't get me wrong there are some things things wrong in school and most of it you won't use later on, but doing good in school helps your future.
2. Get your homework done.
If you have homework you should finish that first. If you finish your homework before you watch anime then you won't worry about it later on. If you can do your homework at lunch or in your free time at school.
3. Get your chores done.
There are probably some of you that don't have chores, but for those who do finish them after your homework. I hate it when I'm into a really good anime and my mom makes me clean. This will also give you more time watching anime.
4. Gather everything that you need.
When I watch anime I always seem to get hungry or thirsty. You should grab a drink and some snacks. If you have everything that you usually waste time getting later on when watching then you same some time. Less tie leaving your room,  more anime time.
If you do take my advice just remember that you should sleep. Without sleep a person can't function correctly. Now you can manage school and anime!

Top 5 Fairy Tail Girls

In this post I am going to show you my 5 favorite Fairy Tail girl characters. I will be excluding the zodiac signs which Lucy holds and any animals or exceeds.

5. Minerva Orland
After the Tartaros Arc I have actually grown to like Minerva. At first I hated Minerva with a passion, but this last arc showed her weaknesses and made me actually like her. She is super tough and has an awesome amount of power. I also really like how nice she is after this arc.

4. Juvia Lockster
Juvia is the funniest character ever. She is so in love with Gray that she seems to act out in a way that makes it super funny to watch. Along with her being funny she is strong. If a person tries to hurt who she loves she becomes a beast.

3. Erza Scarlet
Not only is she strong she has a great personality. Erza is serious, almost too serious. That is what makes her so funny. I also love the way she acts about cake. It makes the very strong Erza have a soft side. I also love all of the different outfits she wears throughout the series.

2. Lucy Heartfilia
Lucy is also one of my favorite girl characters because she has grown so much over the series. She was probably one of the weakest characters at the beginning, but she has gained so much power. She also has a great and funny personality. Which makes her fun to watch.

1. Mirajane Strauss
Mirajane is sweet and caring, but when she needs to she will destroy you. I love Mirajane's backstory. She had a sad backstory, but I think that that is what makes her so nice. I love the way she is the nicest person in the whole world of Fairy Tail, but is still a S-Class wizard. Which makes her fighting scenes that much more interesting.

My Top 10 Anime

This is going to be a list of my top 10 anime. This has no certain category. It's just my overall favorite animes with a brief reason why.

10. Space Dandy

Space Dandy is probably one of the funniest animes ever. Although you can tell it is immature humor. I liked to watch this anime with my sisters and we would have a good laugh. The only thing is that since it is quite mature there are some stupid things that happen and there isn't a good plot or storyline.
9. The Devil is a Part-Timer

The Devil is a Part-Timer is in my top ten because I really liked the plot and the characters. This anime is also very funny and sort of relaxing to watch. The anime had a sense of good versus evil which made it interesting to watch. It isn't higher on my list because I felt like towards the end it had lost some of my interest.
8. My Little Monster

My little Monster is a hilarious, awkward, and romantic anime. I love the relationship between the two main characters. It's blunt and awkward. The anime is super funny and a great pass time. The main problem is that the anime was ended abruptly and anti-climatically.

7.  Yamada-Kun and The Seven Witches

Yamada-Kun and The Seven Witches is super funny and makes you want to watch the next episode. I was happy about how each of the characters were unique. The main problem I had with this anime is that it was too short. I could watch this anime for hours.
6. Black Lagoon

Black Lagoon is violent, gory, and funny at the same time. I loved to watch the characters interact throughout the story. I liked to see the intense action and fighting scenes with a hint of comedy. The anime had lacked a continuing plot and character development.
5. Attack On Titan

Attack On Titan is one of the most violent and gory animes I've seen. This anime is just jammed packed with action. The animation is top-notch. The creators did an amazing job of making the animated characters have realistic human emotions. The plot is also very interesting and exciting.
4. Your Lie In April

Your Lie In April is one of my all time favorite animes. This anime had you laughing one second then crying the next. It had great character development and had you wanting to watch another episode. The characters each had their own issues that made you feel for them and become attached to them. Overall this anime was amazing, but I wish there were more episodes.
3. Ouran Highschool Host Club

Ouran Highschool Host Club is the funniest anime out there. The characters are funny and dramatic. This anime is funny and is probably the only reasons why I love it so much. The anime manages to be funny without making the plot too silly. I loved seeing the unique characters grown throughout this anime.
2. Soul Eater

Soul Eater is such a good anime. The characters and how they grow and develop throughout the story is amazing. I got attached to the characters just after a few episodes. The story makes it to where each character has their own episode or episodes to discover themselves. The plot was interesting and continued throughout the entire series.
1. Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail is my all time favorite anime ever for many reasons. First of all the anime is super long and is continuing with new episodes. Second, the character's plots are all unique. This makes for awesome episodes. Third, there is a continuing plot, but there are breaks in it for fun episodes. Lastly, the anime has it has a range of different moods involved. There are serious moments, sad, happy, funny and action packed moments. The range of different moods makes you have feelings for the characters and the storyline.
Those are my top 10 favorite animes. I hope you enjoyed reading my opinions.I could have gone on forever with my favorite animes and why. Stay tuned for more post in the future.
